Offerat ("we", "us") helps people find local offers across the Greater Toronto Area. This page explains what information we collect through the Offerat app and this website, why, and how it's handled.
Information we collect
Account information. If you sign up as a business owner, we collect your email and password (handled securely by our authentication provider, Supabase) plus any business details you submit — name, address, phone, email, website, social links, logo, and the offers you post.
Contact, support forms and reports. If you message us through this website or the app, or report a problem with an offer, we collect what you submit (such as your name, email, message, and report details) so we can follow up.
Location. If you use "Near Me", your device asks permission to share your location. We use those coordinates only to sort and show distances for that request — we don't store your location.
Browsing offers in the app doesn't require an account or any personal information.
How we use it
To run the marketplace: showing offers, letting business owners manage their listings, responding to messages and reports, and keeping the platform working correctly. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Third-party services
We rely on a few outside services to run Offerat: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), our cloud and website hosting providers, and OpenFreeMap and OpenStreetMap/Nominatim (maps and turning a business address into map coordinates). Each only receives what it needs to do its job.
Data retention & deletion
We keep account and business data as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account or business data deleted, send us a request and we'll take care of it.
Children's privacy
Offerat isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
